This is designed to "house" the final exams from prior semesters.  Students who are wanting to come back will be required to take & pass the Final Exams for each course (that does not have a clinical component).  For Fundamentals of Nursing students must also pass a skills demonstration in lieu of the clinical hours.

Pharmacology II is designed to provide the student with the theory and skills necessary to safely administer medications and assess client response. Specific medications, actions, interactions, side / toxic effect, desired responses and indications are presented. Developing a basic knowledge to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate medication administration will be the course focus.

Prereqs:  ADN-RN 101, ADN-RN 110

This course introduces the foundation for Medical-Surgical nursing with a focus on the knowledge and skills basic to health assessment in nursing. Course presents theoretical data, concepts, techniques, and skills related to the safe and therapeutic care of medical-surgical nursing clients. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills required for accurate collection and analysis of client health information and provides opportunities for enhancement of physical assessment skills. Body systems under review include head, eye, ears, nose and throat; respiratory; cardiovascular; nervous; hematological; musculoskeletal; gastrointestinal; renal and urinary; and endocrine. Other critical precepts covered include IV therapy, blood administration, acid/base balance, and fluid and electrolyte balance.
